Reflecting on Washougal Festival 2012

A great time was shared by all who attended the Weaving in Washougal –Washougal 2012 Festival held on August 3 & 4.

Pendleton kicked off the festivities with its 100 Years in Washougal Celebration, which included the great grandson of Chief Red Cloud. Pendleton was presented with a frame Proclamation and City of Washougal medal proclaiming August 3, 2012 as Pendleton Woolen Mill Day. Pendleton robed me with a wool blanket in traditional Pendleton style.

The Two River’s Heritage Museum served ice cream as part of its annual Heritage Day Fund Raiser. The Kids and Kritters Parade, vendor and craft booths, and equestrian demonstrations were all part of Saturday’s activities. Carrie Cunningham and the Six Shooters along with The King Brothers (& Larry!) entertained the crowds on both Friday and Saturday evenings. Adults attending also enjoyed micro brews by Washougal’s local breweries.

If you missed this year’s event we hope you can join us in 2013.
